We can find in the movement of water ascending and descending spirals round a constantly moving axis. This fluid concept will be the guiding image for the circulation of energy within the dancing couple. It will be developed through elements of TaiChi and Contact Improvisation, helping to develop grounding, sensorial kinesis and to approach tango in a more intuitive way. We will understand the usefulness of this concept applying it to different elements of the tango language like the embrace, voleos , colgadas, sacadas.

The objective of the stage is to reach to a dance where the shared language allows a free and personal expression.

Javier Cura is an argentine american multidisciplinary artist. He has dedicated himself to the Fine Arts creating several art exhibitions of objects, sculptures and installations(BsAs Museum of Fine Arts). He has performed, directed and created drama shows in Argentina, Colombia, USA, Italy and Indonesia. He’s been teaching drama, physical theatre and Contact Impro in England, Italy, France, Germany and Argentina. He’s been invited to teach and perform in the International Contact Improvisation Festivals in Orvieto(It), Freiburg (Ger), at West Coast Contact Impro Festival, (San Francisco, Usa) and at Phantastango Tango festival (Germany). His last piece that merges tango and contactimpro in a physical theatre context was presented in Prague’s Dance Theatre “Farma Festival”, in Terni (Italy) and in Mar del Plata (Argentina).
