to create an account you have to choose an [[username]]. It should have exactly 8 letters of the latin alphabet. Preferred are names that are related to your real name. Examples:  
To create a [[tango.info user account]]:
* Tobiasco (Tobias Conradi)
* Dorothee (Dorothee Roldan)
* Nylipkin (Richard Lipkin from New York)
* Harryfra (Harry from Frankfurt)


# read the [[tango.info user name restrictions]]
# create the account via [[Special:UserLogin/signup]] respecting the user name restrictions


 
The ability to edit in the wiki, requires account confirmation. To achieve this the wiki sends an email to the address the user provides during registration. This email contains a link that needs to be clicked to achieve confirmation.
